Process Controls Engineer
ESE, Inc., a leading provider of process controls/engineering systems for the food and dairy manufacturing sectors is looking for a Process Controls Engineer. This position is responsible for enhancing the profitability of our customers by providing state-of-the-art automation solutions primarily in the Food and Dairy industries. Projects include both retrofits and new systems involving PLCs, industrial computers, process instrumentation, project management and other control devices.
Position Location: Marshfield and Eau Claire
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing project documentation, communication with customers and co-workers, developing an understanding of the process being controlled and the requirements for completion, creating project documentation including creating sequence of operations and other documentation and performing startup tasks.
- Work with the Purchasing department to order parts.
- Setting up, programming, modifying, and maintaining a variety of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI).
Qualifications would include:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, a related degree, or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity of food and diary processes is desirable.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, & Word), RS Logix (500 & 5000), RS View (ME), PLC Programming,
- Read, analyze, and develop technical procedures, process flow schematics, electrical, instrumentation, and pneumatic.
- Mathematical skills related to algebra, statistical inference, geometry, and trigonometry
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and pneumatic systems in a timely manner.
- Write functional specifications, sequence of operations, and system installation instructions.
- Have a current driver's license.
