ESE Releases New Food and Beverage Analyzer Offering More Mobility, Flexibility
By Johanna Nelson
Marshfield, Wis. (8-6-2008) - ESE, Inc., a process automotation engineering company, has released the new Q5A At-Line Analyzer, designed for greater flexibility and mobility. "We've developed a new unit that provides customers more mobility to utilize the processing equipment - it can be set on workstations or carts on the process floor," says Kevin Nowack, application engineer, ESE. "It duplicates the functionality of our existing lab units in the process environment."
According to Nowack, the Q5 line was released about one year ago and featured a panel-mount configuration. In response to customer requests, for greater mobility, ESE designed the Q5A as a bench-mount type system intended on the production floor.
Both the Q5L and the Q5A utilize infrared technology to measure multiple constituents in food and beverage products including fat, protein, total solids, and moisture.
In addition, the machine is able to analyze liquids, solids, slurries, and powders without the need for complicated sample preparation, says Nowack, who notes that accurate results are provided in fast as five seconds.
